Fairytale of an hotel in an historic neighbourhood of Santa Cruz. Very friendly welcome, excellent breakfast, most beautiful room I ever slept in. Simply stunning. Some tips; it is possible to park in the narrow streets around the hotel. It is also possible to park at the marina, but this parking can be busy. It is comfortable use the free "Ascensor La Luz" elevator to cross the considerable height difference between the sea level and the San Telmo neighbourhood, but it has limited operating hours, especially in weekends.

Hotel La Palma Romántica offers elegant accommodation within the picturesque Laurisilva Forest. It has 2 pools, a spa and rooms with views of the Atlantic Ocean, or surrounding mountains. The hotel is located in a lovely quiet rural spot just outside the town of Barlovento (10 min walk into town). It's in an ideal location for hiking/walking. The rooms are nice and big and have everything you need. If you find the food a little bland ask the host for some of his homemade chilli sauce. Super good. Also, the family and staff who run this hotel are very kind and welcoming. They even gave me a plate of incredible cheese on my birthday!
