Yohannes is the most hospitable owner of any place I have ever visited in my life. You really feel like staying with your family. Everyone is very caring, helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, the bed super soft and comfortable, the breakfast delicious and diverse. 100% a place I would recommend!

The property is beautiful , clean , well located , the bed was so comfortable , they have hot shower and the view from the room is BREATHTAKING. The best view of my life ( and I’ve been to 57 countries so imagine ! ) Great value for your money … if it were anywhere else in the world that hotel could charge at least 10 times more ! All The staff were absolutely lovely and they all made my staying so much more easier and comfortable . I felt safe as a female solo traveler and would recommend big time !

El millor de l'hotel és el personal que t'ajuden en tot moment i et fan sentir com a casa, especialment Abebe, un jove estudiant etíop que el seu somni és ser guia turístic a Lalibela. Amb ganes de tornar!

Birhan made all the arrangements perfectly about our transfer from the airport , the visit to the unique churches and our meals. The hospitality we had was memorable! The owner so gentle and hospitable. Definetely we recommend it for anyone that wants to visit Lalibela!

Les habitacions disposen de... Close to Kana restaurant, stunning views in the garden, incredible staff, the breakfast and very close to the historical churches. They have a local guide who speaks great English and have incredible knowledge about the history. They even offered me dinner for the last night!

The view from the room brought me to tears — what an absolutely magical place. The host was supremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating and was a pleasure to chat with. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, as was the coffee....obviously! I wish I could have stayed longer, just so I could spend more time reading a book in the garden, sipping tea, watching the sun set over the valley....I'll be back!!!

Located in Lalībela, 200 metres from Bet Medhane Alem, FikirandRay Lodge provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. I loved staying at Fikir and Ray. The lodge itself is beautiful, and my room had lovely views towards the country side. It is located about 15 mins by foot from Lalibela's central area. The hotel arranged my transport from/to the airport, and my guide (Girma) met me there and was extremely helpful throughout my stay both with activities in Lalibela and a person problem I had. The owner, Abebe, also helped me with all the above and is extremely kind. Breakfast was at a nearby sister hotel, which also provided wifi as there are some problems with local connections. The staff at both hotels were incredibly kind and I would, and already have, recommended this to friends.

Very good location, excellent staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful, they organised a great tour taking us around Lalibela and the churches for 3 days.

Set in Lalībela, 600 metres from Bet Abba Libanos, Alef Paradise Hotel offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. My room at the Alef Paradise hotel had a really beautiful view that I could enjoy from my own little patio. The staff were all very nice and helpful and even set me up with a local guide and transport before I arrived. The free breakfast was really delicious - especially the coffee! Overall, the Alef Paradise hotel is a great value for money and I would definitely recommend to future visitors! To note: the power is only on at certain times of day (evening and potentially a few hours in the morning) but that's more a function of power in the town and not due to Alef Paradise Hotel. Just plan to charge your things at night or have a power bank with you.
