We were lucky to be invited to join the yearly festival that happened that weekend and to get a more in depth experience of the Faroese culture.

The house was beautiful, a living museum built in 1912 and in great conditions for the guests to enjoy it. The host was amazing. He prepared a delicious traditional cake and breakfast for us, and shared many stories about the Faores people and their culture.

The natural grass roof of this peaceful, design hotel matches the surrounding green countryside. All rooms overlook Nólsoy Fjord and central Tórshavn, which is 2 km away. Wi-Fi is free. Really nice hotel with beautiful view over the city. Big free parking for all the cars, the breakfast was really good and varied. Everything completely met our expectations, even the gym was more than ok.

Hotel Djurhuus is situated only a 9 minute walk from Tórshavn city centre and 350m from Tórshavn harbour. This hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free private self parking. Delightfully tasteful boutique hotel, lovingly managed by a pleasant, efficient and devoted team! The lounge, enabling a smooth transition to the afternoon ferry, was a true boon.
