Sandbach
Myself and a colleague travelled from York to Cheshire for a business meeting and found this little gem. We had the house to ourselves which was great to work from after our meeting rather than a hotel and was far more relaxing! Beautifully furnished house, super comfy beds, clean and spacious. I noticed they accept pets so I'll definitely be back for both business and leisure - thank you
This is was our second visit to the Cheshire Cat as it really central and just a short walk into the town. Our room was spotlessly clean and it was situated around the back of the hotel which was very quiet and just as we requested. The bed was really comfortable with a great shower. The English breakfast was cooked perfectly and there was a varied menu to suit everyone.
Macclesfield
The hotel is warm and welcoming on a cold, damp Cheshire evening. Staff are excellent, checking in no problem. The room is well appointed with a very comfortable bed, shower/bath with plenty of fresh towels, soaps, shower gels etc. Added bonus it was in the perfect location for my purposes. The is an excellent bus service from Macclesfield almost to the front door.
Hotel looked really something as you drive up the grand driveway with its lights and trees this has been decorated beautifully for Christmas. The hotel is set in sprawling acres of Cheshire countryside and the location is perfect for rest and relaxation. The room was a great size and the bed was super comfy we had an amazing sleep.
The Lion at Malpas is simply one of the very best 'pub with rooms' hotels in the country. The standard of the accommodation, furnishings and artworks is top grade. The staff are very professional and attentive. The car park is spacious. The cuisine is very good. Easy access to walking the Cheshire sandstone trail.
Good location for visiting some lovely areas in Cheshire like Chester. We visited Beeston Castle. The hotel was clean and all Covid measures were in place. The recent refurbishment was very impressive. Nice garden area to sit outside for coffee and drinks.Waiting staff were excellent. Good parking.
Compared to the cost of similar hotels in the Cheshire area this was great value for money as in the centre of Alderly Eddge. Walkable to all nearby restaurants bars and supermarket. Staff were friendly especially at check-in and checkout. Definitely recommended and will be back.
The room was lovely, we rang ahead to ask for a cot and for the second bed to be made, so everything was ready for our arrival. Overall a nice hotel and great location to explore Alderley Edge and Cheshire. I'm sure we will stay again.
The staff were wonderfully friendly . We had a meal in the hotel restaurant in the evening which was excellent both for price and quality of food .The hotel in a beautiful location in the Cheshire countryside with fantastic views .
Really lovely hotel set in rural Cheshire. Excellent room with views over the fields. Quiet. Helpful staff. As I asked for milk and plasters (!) And they were brought up to the room And fantastic breakfast choice. 😋
Macclesfield
We all really enjoyed our staff the staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel could do with some investment but overall it’s a very pleasant venue with amazing views of the Cheshire plains.
This was a last minute decision to stop in Cheshire, the hotel was good. A lot of previous comments say about the hotel needing freshened up, but it’s not a brand new hotel and is more than adequate for the money.
The location was quiet but within reach of Cheshire oaks Liverpool Runcorn and Widnes The hotel was large and spacious with a spa and swimming facilities The rooms were clean comfy and had everything we needed
