El Hotelito Perdido er et lille jungle-tilflugtssted beliggende midt i nationalparken Rio Dulce. Hotelito Perdido provides a great atmospheric stay at a riverside jungle lodge. The facilities combine rusticity with comfort. The vegetarian food is tasty and plentiful, and the communal dinners are lovely. There are plenty of excursions available and kayaks on hand at reasonable prices for independent exploration. Highly recommend!

Hotel Posada Stella Maris ligger i Puerto Barrios og tilbyder 5-stjernet indkvartering med have og fælles opholdsstue. Der er også concierge-service og legeplads. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km fra Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, terrasse og restaurant. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Lovely boutique hotel. Loved the unique style of accommodation. Very friendly staff. Probably best value for money so far on the trip.

Hotel La Casa Rosada ligger i Lívingston og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Der er også roomservice, udflugtsskranke og gratis wi-fi overalt. Gæsterne kan nyde en drink i snackbaren. I loved the waterfront location - in the morning you get to watch the sun rise from your bed. So incredibly perfect. The view was the best part. After that, it was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. There is also part of the dock where you can hammock with a beautiful water view. You can easily get a tour to two of the main attractions - playa blanca and 7 altars

Hotel El Reformador ligger i Puerto Barrios og har have, terrasse, restaurant og bar. Dette 4-stjernede hotel har gratis wi-fi, roomservice og døgnåben reception. Staff was super friendly. Incuded breakfast was very good. Great shower with good water pressure.

Nanajuana Río Dulce har restaurant, udendørs swimmingpool, fitnesscenter og bar i Río Dulce. Blandt de forskellige faciliteter på denne ejendom er der fælles opholdsstue, have og grillfaciliteter. Breakfast was delicious and prices were comparable to restaurants outside of hotel. Hotel also offered an hour or two (don't remember clearly) of free little foot paddling boats, which was fun to pass the time. The hotel is nice and secure as well with security outside of resort. Loved that they were pet friendly as well, so I got to bring my pup along!

Finca Tatin Hotel ligger midt i junglen, 3 km fra Livingston centrum. Der er stor have, møbleret terrasse og hængekøje. Bungalowerne har tropisk indretning, træmøbler og ventilator. I loved my stay there, amazing place in the middle of the jungle, great atmosphere! They take care of everything. The place has a restaurant and they offer a range of activities (kayak, waterfalls, beach…)
