Conveniently situated in the centre of Fukuoka, A.T. Hotel Hakata is within 1.2 km of Higashisumiyoshi Park and 1.8 km of Otowa Park. A wonderful comfortable place to stay. Our first night stay for 2 weeks drive around in Kyushu. It's a regret that I couldn't book a night for our return trip. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed is clean and comfortable.

Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Beautiful modern property in a good location. Six minutes walk to the train station and 10-15 minutes walk to Tenjin. Breakfast needs to be ordered the day prior. There were many restaurant options around the hotel the staff were all helpful.

Looking over Hakata Bay and a yacht harbor, Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka features spacious guest rooms with an ocean view, a relaxation spa and a stylish French restaurant. Bright rooms with ocean view. The staff was exceptionally polite and attentive. Breakfast (choice between Western and Japanese style) was served to one's room at one's time of choice, which I found quite convenient. The hotel is situated next to a shopping and outlet mall with restaurants and a food court, and there are direct bus connections to Tenjin and Hakata.
