Featuring an in-house hair and beauty shop, the self-service Wilhelmsen House offers central accommodation in Tønsberg. The property is a 5-minute walk to public transport. Having all the entry codes and administration sorted out by email in advance was really good: the ability to just walk straight to my room without any sort of in person check-in was really appreciated after a long journey. The gym was an unexpected bonus, which I was fortunately in a position to take advantage of. Also, the fact that all local takeaways seem to know where it is and are happy to deliver there removed a lot of decision making.

Great location right on the harbour front! Outstanding breakfast (incl. gluten-free options)! Very, very friendly staff!

The reception and the room you had breakfast and dinner in were decorated with whaling memorabilia and i loved that. Very cozy , warm ( even though outside at bight the temperature dropped at -20 celsius ).
