Our stay at Above the River was delightful. Tracey was very friendly and welcoming; the appartment was beautifully decorated, the beds were divinely comfortable, with the highest quality linen. The breakfast included a delicious selection of cereals, as well as coffees and teas, toast, yoghurt and fruit. The homemade treats were a lovely touch and evening snacks were much appreciated after a long day. The outside furniture was very comfortable, perfectly placed to enjoy a relaxing Spring evening.

Boasting a garden and free WiFi, 66 Chaucer B&B with Complimentary Breakfast to Go Bag is situated in Cambridge, 27 minutes' drive from Hobbiton Movie Set. 66 Chaucer B&B, although sharing the main entrance with the hosts, has a very independent entryway and is very private. It is a small, elegant, and beautiful accommodation space. Penny prepared many New Zealand locally-produced tea, coffee, chocolate drinks, and biscuits. Even the bathroom supplies are made in New Zealand, such as shampoo and soap! The room is equipped with a TV that can access the internet, allowing us to search for TV programs we want to watch on YouTube. Laurie and Penny not only recommended excellent local restaurants, but also kindly reminded us of the time changes during the daylight saving. I have to say, the breakfast bags prepared by Penny gave us a good mood after setting off. The chocolate muffins and blueberry muffins, along with fruit yogurt and juice, were a perfect combination.

Located in a rural setting, Podium Lodge offers accommodation 2 minutes' drive from Cambridge. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. Each well appointed room has a flat-screen TV. Very clean and fresh. Innkeeper was especially nice and accommodating. Excellent value.

Ohaupo Olives offers accommodation in Ohaupo. The bed and breakfast has a barbecue and views of the garden, and guests can enjoy a drink on the deck. Free private parking is available on site. Every little detail had been thought of to make a stay here very special. We were made welcome in to a beautiful home, in a lovely location on a small olive plantation. Liz and Roger were very hospitable and our room had everything we might need including freshly baked muffins. Wish we were staying longer!

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Conach House is set in Karapiro, within 10 km of Cambridge Town centre. Exceptional stay from the beautiful grounds, plenty of out door seating, koi pond and hot tub to the immaculate and well appropriated room, kitchen and large bathroom, plus hostess Megan was superb with local recommendations, loved Sanctuary Mountain which we would not have known about. Being right across from Lake Karpiro for the International Dragon Boat Festival was the best!!! Also perfect if you have two couples as there were two separate rooms available.
