Azoris Faial Garden – Resort Hotel is situated in parkland on the edge of the historical city of Horta. It features indoor and outdoor pools and stunning views over the marina and Mount Pico. The view from the balcony of our room was stunning! The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and even helped finding restaurants and booking them. Will be back

Offering city views, Casa Rua Velha is an accommodation located in Horta, 300 metres from Praia da Conceição and 2.6 km from Praia do Almoxarife Beach. Place was beautiful, hospitality outstanding, full of little attentions: fresh flowers, fruit basket, bottle of wine etc… it is centrally located, you can go anywhere on foot yet it is away from the crowd and very quiet at night. Host was available for any questions. Would recommend in a heart beat!

Situated in Horta, Casinha das Hortênsias features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. The accommodation provides private check-in and check-out and bicycle parking for guests. The host is really focused on the visitors, always ready for everything you could need. His welcome pack with red wine and home produced cheese and tomato jam was a really lovely gesture. The accommodation is really good and well decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery,..... Very comfortable beds The laundry with washing machine and dryer is very convenient. It is a superb place for your stay in Faial, ten out of ten. The relation price to facilities is excellent!! Highly recommended !!

Largo Bispo Boutique Hostel is located in Horta, 500 metres from Praia da Conceição and 2.6 km from Praia do Almoxarife Beach. Maria is a kind lady who allowed us to leave the lugguge despite the early hour when we arrived . The room was clean, new and spacious.

Nereida features free WiFi throughout the property and views of sea in Horta. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.4 km from Praia de Porto Pim. Great location right in the heart of the harbour. Beautifully clean room with all appliances new and well maintained. A small kitchen, very well equipped, water, tea and coffee etc and a basket of fruit. Very big comfy bed with nice bedding. Compact shower room with lots of towels. Located in Horta, within less than 1 km of Praia da Conceição and 2.8 km of Praia de Porto Pim, Estrela do Atlântico provides accommodation with a garden and a bar, and free WiFi. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!
