The room, food, decor, location, atmosphere, all spot on! but what really made this place great was the staff, all so kind and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxing atmosphere. A very good base for exploring the island of Santa Maria

This 4-star hotel is situated close to Vila do Porto, a 10-minute drive from the airport, the mountain and the beach of Praia Formosa. Traveling with My 1 year old and arriving early, check in wasn’t for a decent amount of time but they were able to thankfully get Me a room ready within a hour and a half. Comes with breakfast. Has a bar and food available for lunch or dinner. There is a kids room which I enjoyed. Not far of a walk from the center and was nice to see the animals. Beautiful view from room!

QUINTA DO FALCÃO has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Almagreira. With garden views, this accommodation features a patio. The country house has private entrance. So happy we stayed here! One of the top hotels we've ever been to. Space was generous, comfortable, and well-appointed. Service was excellent. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Wish we could have stayed longer!

A recently renovated holiday home set in Vila do Porto, Cosy Private Cottage w/sea views & wifi features a garden. The property features garden and quiet street views. The place is amazing. Aideen is great. If you're looking for a place that's kind of isolated on your own hill top in the middle of nowhere, yet just up the hill from a small town with a great restaurant, look no further. Awesome sunrise when you wake up in the morning. Beautiful stars at night.

Set in Santo Espírito in the Santa Maria region, Villa - Cantinho do Paraíso offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. This place is paradise on earth. The Villa is breathtaking. It is at a perfect location with amazing views. The rooms themselves are modern, intuitive, and comfortable. The grounds are impeccable and Susana and Nestor make you feel like you’re part of the family. The pet donkeys were one of the best parts, as was the bee workshop and a tour of the island with Miguel. We felt sad to leave, and will definitely be back to visit again.

Located in Santa Bárbara, Alo Baía São Lourenço provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. Beautiful, modern and very clean apartment with a a great outdoor space as well! Perfect location across the street from the best beach on the island. There was a welcome gift full of wonderful Azorean things to try and the host went above and beyond to make our experience excellent. I would highly recommend!

Set in Vila do Porto in the Santa Maria region, Casita - Cantinho do Paraíso offers accommodation with access to a hot tub. It was outstandingly gorgeous and the surroundings were breathtaking.

Casa dos Valentes is set in Santo Espírito. This holiday home offers free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, nicely furnished, fully equipped traditional house located in the peaceful countryside just outside Santo Espirito. Everything for a comfortable visit is provided, including a good WiFi connection and a gift of local artisanal bread, jam, and cookies. The hosts, Catarina and Pedro, live close by and are friendly and accommodating. An early arrival was no problem, and when the weather forecast called for heavy rain the day of our departure, they offered to let us to stay later so we could relax in comfort before our flight. We highly recommend Casa dos Valentes!
