Koh Mak resort is a lovely place conveniently located right by the pier which is handy when you arrive or leave or take a boat to neighbouring Koh Kham island . we have found lot of new Thai friends here who made us feel very special . the manager who calls herself Sauce is lovely and very accommodating, helpful and efficient . anything we needed , she assisted promptly and always had a smile on her face . restaurant and bar staff became practically like a family to us on the first day . my daughter took special shine to a barman called Mr Nu and followed him everywhere. he was very attentive and kind to her throughout our stay . they all were . when we were leaving , they walked us to the pier and hugged us and waved goodbye . to be honest we didn’t want to leave and we’re so sad to leave them behind . the resort is lovely and the rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage space . plus they are right on the beautiful beach . Koh Mak Resort also has a little shop on the premises . there is an old lady called Attiya that runs it and she is like a grandma anybody would want . so sweet and always had a kind words for us and my daughter , even gave us some free gifts from her lovely shop . make sure you’d pop in to say hello . we also bought few things there , she has some lovely clothes for sale :) The beach is lovely and when the tide is out you can walk to the furthest end towards Turtle Beach , just beware of stray dogs that are often moving in packs .Take a coconut or sharp rock in case they get aggressive , they usually scamper off fast when you threaten them with it and shout Pai in a loud voice ! we loved Koh Mak resort , everything about this place was amazing and we felt super welcome throughout our stay there . we would definitely be back !

Udsigten fra dette hotel var helt fantastisk, bla. kunne man både fra swinningpoolen og restaurenten skue ud over havet! Derudover var betjeningen i særklasse. Bla. var personalet i receptionen utrolig imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Vi følte os så godt tilpas på dette lille hotel, hvor der var plads til fred og ro. Vi boede på et dobbeltværelse med balcon, god seng og fint badeværelse. Vi rejste rundt i Thailand i 3 uger og dette sted var vores favorite!

Staff is very friendly, rooms is clean, 1 minute to the beach, good for snorkelling lots of fish. You can find many giant calms at 1.2-1.5m depth, stonefish can be found also nearby the giant calms location. My daughter do snorkelling whole day, she loves to see the watchman goby and the shrimp working together. During night if you walk on the beach you can found lots of ghost crab.

Its filthy rooms are clean, the complex is rotting

Stunning view right outside the front door of every room. Quiet and remote without being far from everything. Lay in a hammock and listen to the sound little waves gently hitting the sand

Secluded and really chilled out. Beautiful bungalow with stunning sun rise view. Helpful hosts. Will defo come back.

This place was lovely. I really enjoyed myself. The bed was amazing comfortable and the food in the restaurant was tasty. Staff were very helpful, you can rent scooters, or the desk will happily call you a taxi. the beach was cool and maybe not a great swimming beach but with water shoes I had no problem. I liked the quiet location a bit away from the main drag. The poll was huge and there were plenty of loungers and towels. The board walk was fine, some folks commented on the condition in other posts. But they were actively replacing weak boards and installing new lighting when I was there. I was in a third-row unit and I felt like it offered great views. especially for the price!! It's Thai style for sure but I just loved it there. I would absolutely return.

We liked almost everything, from check in to check out. Koh mak is a small island, you can prob.see the full island in one day by renting a scooter. the property arranged everything for us, we were greeted with a mile wide smile by the receptionist/cook/all around helper named Pa. She let us checked in early, handed us cold bottled waters, showed us around, and cooked us delicious foods. The location was superb, very safe and quiet. The overlooking water view from our room and balcony, listening to the waves as you doze off, and the sunset were some of the highlights. The rates were so cheap, it felt like renting an overwater bungalow in a very quiet and remote island. We pretty much arranged everything with the property from meals to transportation at reasonable prices including a massage. All the staff made our stay very convenient and memorable. It is easy to gain a family here bc of the staff. This property exceeded our expectations. Book it!!!!

I loved being on the quiet side of the island, easy enough to ride a bike to the action Food was excellent for a vegetarian, sure the meat and seafood great too, but I would t know! Room was so well designed. Views amazing! Wish was a way to access the water for swimming, would be only thing would have liked to swim more easily Just loved the room! Stayed all over Koh Mak and your place my fav room!

Cute resort, clean bungalows, great food and beach!

Luca og hans kone var meget hjælpsomme. Dejlig ren pool og skønne værelser. Man har behov for at leje scootere når man er der.

Chanya and her team were attentive to all our needs and responded to our queries promptly with a smile. When informed of my allergy to certain foods, they made special dishes for me everyday for breakfast. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated.
