Located in Montevideo, in front of the beach Pocitos Beach, Hotel Costanero MGallery provides accommodation with a restaurant, private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. Buffet breakfast was very good with wide variety of choices. Also the eating area was beautiful with incredible views. Cute main lounge areas and nice bar available for guests. We had a late night pizza from the bar that was FANTASTIC. Front staff were so cheerful and helpful. Always greeted us and asked about our day (remembering what we were going to do), made us reservations, helped us with transportation, loaned us bikes (small fee), etc. Our room was spacious with a great view overlooking the beach and the ocean/river. We left curtains open to enjoy all the time. Area is very safe and has good access to all the sights. I was relieved we had rented in this area versus the old town.

The room was well designed, with good space even disabled friendly. The lift was big and we could all go at once with all our luggage in it. We did not have breakfast so can not comment on that. Location very good walking distance to the sea. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

I decided to spend some time and write this review because the hosts of this little gem were exceptional. The room and the common spaces were all very clean and had an artistic touch. You do not get the feeling of staying in a hotel or an airbnb. The great hosts along with the property welcomes you in a relaxed atmosphere, which is ideal for families. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. I definitely recommend this place.

I loved the location its few minutes walk to the shopping center that has a supermarket called TaTa that sells everything. the bus terminal is there also. the rooms in the hotel is very nice and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful I really enjoyed staying there its a very good place to stay and great price. I discovered after I arrived that I had tested positive for Covid-19. Though I was never actually ill, I isolated in my room for 10 days. The staff, who spoke excellent English, were extremely kind to me. It was a traumatic time for me, and they made me feel happy, safe, and well taken care of.
