Very friendly and incredibly helpful staffs! They provided us many great advices for our first trip in Halong. The hotel, located in Hon Gai, is not very close to the tourist center which is in other side of the Bai Chay bridge. However, you can find affordable foods and discover the true lifestyle of local habitants and can walk to HaLong market and ride shortly to other attractive places such as Quang Ninh museum, Hon Gai beach.

Brand spanking new, clean, modern, spacious, lovely rooftop pool with beautify view of mountains and bay, located near several restaurants (Casa Bonita was wonderful - great smoothie bowls and shakes) and tour agency offices, and incredibly helpful staff - let us check in early free of charge, rented motorbike at very affordable price, showed us the sights around Cat Ba including national forest and hospital cave, offered fresh fruit and drinks when we were at the pool.

The rooms were so comfortable - the beds were the best! The rooftop had an amazing view as well. The staff here are also amazing they go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The breakfast is one of the best we have had in Vietnam. Overall best hotel we have stayed in in Vietnam!!!

Featuring a terrace, Cat Ba Hongkong Hotel is located in Cat Ba in the Hai Phong Municipality region, 1 km from Cat Co 2 Beach and 1.4 km from Cat Co 1 Beach. I love the room’s design and color scheme. The bathroom was lavish and comfortable. The bed was decently comfortable. The lighting was soothing and relaxing. The room was spacious enough that I sometimes preferred staying in rather than going out. The personal care products provided, such as shampoo and body wash, felt luxurious and had a pleasant fragrance.

Halong Bay on uskomattoman kaunis alue ja se kannattaa käydä katsomassa. Risteilyalusta ja hyttiä valitessa on hyvä ottaa huomioon, että mainoskuvat antavat usein liian positiivisen kuvan majoituksesta. Ei kannata ottaa halvemmasta päästä jos antaa vähänkin arvoa hyvälle tasolle.

I would highly recommend this hotel based on my experience. The location near the harbour was great, and the friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. The highlight, however, was definitely the very good breakfast. It was delicious and had plenty of options. Overall, the hotel offered very good value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the location, it was just in front of the sea, although the beaches are not close you just get the promenade. It's very centric from there you could go anywhere by walking. During december there was nobody around which was excellent. They provide tours and even scooters to rent.
