How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hotel was ideal as we were travelling from Santander to Seville and only needed an overnight stay. Everything from beginning to end was as expected and I would certainly stay again.

Shower basin leaked onto bathroom floor but I find this a problem in many hotels.
Convenient location off the main road and next to a fuel garage. Comfortable bed, excellent wifi, good shower. No noise from other guests or road outside. McDonald’s and Burger King within short driving distance so did not use dining facilities. Good sized room and bathroom.

Very minor thing, would prefer a pot of tea at breakfast not a mug. The tea pots were on show but you are not allowed them 🥴
Easy to find, checked in quickly and efficiently. Free and plenty of parking. Dog friendly. Comfortable restaurant in the hotel. Staff were very helpful and speak English and Spanish. Breakfast included was a bonus. Room had everything you need, it was very clean, comfortable and a decent size TV screen, good size bathroom with a great shower.

The staff refused to serve us a snack at 1630 hrs.. Saying that the restaurant only opens at 1930 hrs.. This was disappointing, as if the bar is open, snacks should be served too. This should be amended. Thanks.

Just a one night stopover but perfectly fine. On the outskirts of the town but easy to drive to the centre. Standard traveller accommodation. Perfectly adequate room and facilities. Comfortable bed and clean. Some noise from the lorry park at the back but nothing major. Good free parking.

Coffee making facility in bedroom would be good.
Perfect stop on our journey. The hotel is also well outside the Valladolid Low Emissions Zone too.

The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the front entrance to the hotel. Shower room was clean and enough storage for clothes and suitcases. The breakfast had a wide choice of items although this is the first Ibis I have been that doesn't have an egg boiler.

I think it was little to expensive for our little dog. They charged 15€ for one night. Dinner was nothing special.

We have stayed a few times, and it is convenient and has been good value. Change to restaurant is terrible, silly menus and microwave cold food. Staff barely spoke to anybody other than themselves very poor.

The rooms are quite small, no desk area etc. The breakfast was very decent for the price. Pets are charged at 15 € per night seems excessive as there is hardly any room for them in the room. We have a 6 m motorhome, and there isn’t anywhere at the front of the property to park this. It is possible to park it with discretion at the rear. However, the security guard from this area was quite difficult about this. The restaurant serves good breakfast, but in the evening it is really just snacks, not a decent meal, so be prepared. There are no other restaurants within easy walking distance other than a McDonald’s a few blocks away so really this isn’t an ideal stopover en route to South of Spain.
Excellent location for a stopover on the way through south Spain. The two ladies on reception and snack duty were very nice and helpful. But all The staff generally appeared disinterested.
