How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The reception area is tiny. The space to check in and out is a bit limited.

Overall it was good, but the bathroom can be improved as sink was too small. Bathroom door was sliding and you cannot completely close it.
It was a great location, Casa Batlo was just on 5 minutes walk. Super comfortable room and bed.

Room 205 is small for two people as there is no chair or tabletop and very little clothes storage.
My second stay at this property. It’s a great location with so much variety within walking distance- cafes, restaurants of all kinds, shopping, city buildings, galleries, museums and attractions. The Metro is a few minutes walk away which can bring you to the hotel in about 45mins with just one change. The rooms are fitted out to a high standard, with comfortable bed, a/c, fridge. Daily room service. Room 205 and others have windows opening to a shaft. Book a room with balcony if you prefer a view and more daylight. A breakfast box is available to order and there is a rooftop terrace area with tables and chairs, where an espresso machine dispenses high quality coffees free to residents (6am-6pm). 24hr receptionist, who is always happy to help and offer local guidance.

The room we booked it too small, I’d recommend travelers to book the next room with balcony :) although would work very well with light and solo travelers!
Staffs were amazing, located in the city centre/shopping area, and lots of cafes & restaurants right next to the store.

The shower room that doesn't have a door. It was just shower curtain.
I love that it is near the major tourist attraction and that it has a lot of transportation that is near by.

I would have liked to spend time on the terrace in the evenings but it closed at 6 or 7.
The location is right on La Rambla. It was so easy to get places on foot and with the public transit. The bed was really comfortable. There isn't breakfast but there is a bakery basically next door which we ordered from each morning. The 6th floor terrace was great. There's free coffee and cocoa up there too.

The hotel room was small.And there was no wardrobe, it was very uncomfortable.
Location is really good. All main see sights in Barcelona are near. We didn’t use any transport, only walked a lot. The building of hotel is amazing.

The hotel misses a lobby or chill out area.
Small hotel in a great location, close to main touristic attractions, and shops. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom felt homely. Staff were nice and helpful.
