rooms excellent, staff fantastic and very helpful, good location 1 minute walk from the old centre and located within the old city walls. Parking available at the Pousada was a big plus. We did not eat at the Pousada.

Bar was shut for refurb so you where served in the outside spaces, which worked.

The Parador is set in a fantastic old building which is just loverly, there is a pool and plenty of outdoor seating space considering its location is set in a built up area. Food was good as we ate dinner here and breakfast is the same as other Paradors which again is good and plentiful. Room was not as large as other paradors but what I would consider as quirky but was nothing wrong with this, it ads to the charm.

The bed was so hard I couldn’t sleep and I could hear every word from the people next door. Bathroom needs updating. Staff not particularly welcoming or friendly which was disappointing

Breakfast was sufficient but the local cafe we found had a better atmosphere & value for money. The dinner was good but the staff seemed unorganised & everything took a long while. The parking was very expensive 22 Euros with the car room was very tight for modern cars.

Fantastic location for all the Roman sights & town. Room was large with a sofa & chair & comfortable beds & clean, nice view over the front garden. Very enjoyable stay & a lovely town.

Parador was fine. Merida was a bit disappointing. Expected easier access to Roman sites. Only EU pensioners got a reduced rate; not US citizens.

Quite a maze-like hotel, and tricky to find your way to the reception from the outside carpark. Some problems with the TV and told there was no-one available to sort it out. The room rate was higher than comparable paradores elsewhere.

Not the most impressive of the Parador hotels. Historic building as usual but smaller and much darker !

Parking is available in the hotel garage which is accessible for nearly all cars. The bar staff were helpful and attentive, especially in the bar area.

Lovely historic hotel with superb staff and facilities. Well located for access to the roman ruins in the city. Let down unfortunately by being located in the middle of a redevelopment area, parts of which look as if they have not been worked on in a long time. Having said this the area is quiet.

The hotel is very dated in particular the bathrooms. Although the breakfast had a large choice of foods, the management should opt for healthier options.

The building is very interesting. We had lunch in the restaurant and the food was very good. The staff were att, helpful and professional.

Nothing we didn't like.

Very nice hotel and superb central location with onsite parking. We only had one night so wanted to be able to walk from the hotel and see the sights in a few hours and this was perfect. The paradores hotels are lovely with lots of character. We walked into town and found a cafe for a cheap breakfast as didn't want much so can't comment on the breakfast.

I have paid for the room with a terrace. There was no terrace. Small but annoying nuisance.
