Location is excellent, close to train station and main street and onsens. Staff gave us an onsen pass for the 7 onsens in town. We also got a private booking at the bath in house. Staff provided an orientation to town and also provided excellent hospitality, including amazing food service. Rooms were traditional and a little old but comfortable and the bathroom had a Toto.

We stayed 2 nights, no need to book private, the 9Fand B2 baths were great, the interactive Kaiseri dinners were excellent, the breakfast was so good, we skipped lunch both days. Spouse making plans to go back next year. We requested the Japanese style rooms and enjoyed it despite tough getting up fr the floor due to my titanium knees

Guests at Onishiya Suisyouen Ryokan can experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) flooring, or enjoy a Western-style room. Japanese-style rooms include a tea maker, private bathroom and a satellite TV. All rooms have air conditioning. The rooms and baths are beautiful. It's nice that the thermal baths have an internal and external part. Beautiful indoor garden, nice yukatas. We felt very spoiled in this hotel. Dinner and breakfast were huge, even too much, it's a shame to waste so much food. Transport to the center and stations on request. The staff was so polite that it almost made me feel stupid (women carried our suitcases for us). I highly recommend staying at this property.

Wonderful Ryokan experience in Kinosaki Onsen. The Japanese breakfasts and suppers were both awesome. The Ryokan provides yukatas in which you can walk around town to the onsens - really great!
The ryokan's onsen was amazing, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, everything was provided and explained to us (yukatas, amenities, tea, crackers...). Location was also great, right next to bus station.
Lovely authentic ryokan in hot spring town. The owner is very welcoming and hospitable. The ryokan is comfortable for a big family and the private onsen is great. Perfectly located in the centre of town to walk to all the public onsens with one being next door. Meals were huge and well prepared. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially for helping with yakata and kimono dressing. A must place to visit, we will definitely be coming back here to stay again.
A fantastic 3-storey Ryokan in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen. Our room came with yukatas to wear outside and they also provided traditional wood sandals (and rubber boots in case of rain), and umbrellas. It was the perfect place to unwind. We had a breakfast and dinner package which exceeded our expectations. Especially the dinners were absolutely amazing and the portions were big.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Dinner and breakfast was served in our room and each item described to us as they were laid out. Our futons were laid out and packed away by staff. The whole ryokan was kept immaculate and we heard no noise at all. Geta, yukata, umbrellas and baskets were provided for going to and from onsens. An onsen pass was also provided from check in to 3pm on the day of check out. We were allowed to keep our towels until this point and our luggage was held after check out.
Great spacious room (free upgrade) with traditional style. The location is perfect to reach all the Onsens & the train station by walk. The staff was very kind & outgoing. Being able to choose our own Yukata was a nice touch. The Ryokan Onsens aren't spacious but they do the job just fine.
Definitely the best stay in Japan so far! The host and his family made us felt welcomed as soon as we arrived creating a warm atmosphere. We enjoyed a really nice tea ceremony conducted by the host’s mum. Our room overlooked an amazing garden, was very clean and spacious. We rent Yukatas for free, and the host was always so enthusiastic to help us taking photos. The ryokan has two private onsen, both very beautiful, but it is very well located to use any of the public ones too. Last but not least, the host drove us back to the station.
Japanese style room. We were given a free upgrade to a terrace view room that was recently renovated. Futon beds we so comfortable. Use of Private onsen option within the accommodation ( extra charge of 2200yen for 45 mins) Yukata, shoes, towels for onsen and basket provided . Onsen pass provided as part of the accommodation and maps provided. Location is few mins walk from the station and on the main road
Our first stay in Japanese ryokan was a great expirience. Wood, tatami, futons, japanese garden, free yukatas, beautiful pottery made by famous Kyoto artist. Separated large bathtub and shower. Free tickets to Gin and Kin onsens! Arima is a very beautiful place!
