The hosts make you feel apart of the family and provide delicious Japanese food. They went out of their way to show us around the area and teach us about the history. The rooms are very cosy and the main living area has incredible views across the mountains.

Uno de los mejores hoteles que he estado en mi vida. La atención al detalle es excelente y la calidad es superior. El onsen es una maravilla y de las mejores experiencias que he tenido. El personal es muy atento y amable. Ojalá todos los hoteles fueran así.

El Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata se encuentra en el barrio histórico de Bikan, en Kurashiki, y ofrece alojamiento de estilo japonés en un edificio histórico del período Edo. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

Staff were very friendly, attentive and proactive towards our needs, especially the lady boss who was very friendly. They have many staff who spoke English. On the day we checked out, they recommended us to visit a small village (出雲街道) next to the Sayo station to see the beautiful cherry blossom. I have to say thank you for their recommendations as we enjoyed it very much.

Our room had an adjoining garden, which was peaceful and lovely. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The meals were traditional and delicious, with polite and kind staff. The bath was very enjoyable too.

Bingoya is a wonderful traditional Ryokan and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful tatami mat rooms, shoji screens, sliding doors, hanging scroll alcoves, peaceful gardens with stone lanterns - perfect! Delicious breakfasts, which look gorgeous too. Lots of details in the buildings- inside and out, so it is lovely to contemplate your surroundings in one of a hundred different spots.
