The open-air hot-spring bath at Fudoguchikan is available 24 hours, and separate per gender. The ryokan also houses a lounge, a shop and drinks vending machines. A variety of yukata robes are available for rent, and free parking is on site. Fudoguchikan was the highlight of our Japan Holiday. We stayed here the final night before leaving from Osaka as it is quite close to the airport (though feels worlds away!) We loved experiencing traditional Japanese accommodation and hospitality. The baths were spectacular- looking out over the river and cherry blossoms. We did a walk in the woods nearby (so beautiful) - it was lovely to experience parts of Japan away from the hustle of the big cities. The service was outstanding - really can’t fault our stay here!

There were 3 hosts that I interacted with, 2 men and one woman (Sorry ya'll I am terrible with names), and all were very nice and helpful. They helped with suggestions for restaurants, where to visit, what cool anime to watch, and even offered to help me purchase train tickets when I lost my wallet (woops!). This was a very comfortable and friendly environment for a solo first time traveler to Japan and I am very thankful for their help and welcoming nature. I would 100% recommend Ryokan Suzuran and look forward to visiting here again next time!
