Det 2-stjerners Onsen Guest House Tsutaya ligger i Hakone, 7 km fra både Hakone Lalique-museet og Hakone botaniske hage for våtmark. Possibly the best hostel I have ever stayed - though that word doesn’t do it justice! Onsen and all common spaces were beautiful, the kitchen was the best appointed I’ve ever seen with everything from cooking sake to coffee beans and grinders, staff were helpful. It’s a bit out of the way of things but that makes for a really peaceful atmosphere.

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. Very friendly and helpful staff! The service was simply top tier. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. Really enjoyed the private open air bath, especially after running 2 marathons in the 2 week prior. Central location, pretty much a short walk from the Gora station.

The breakfast was really good and it had two different onsen. The onsen were small, but I liked it a lot. The people were nice. I highly recommend this place! It was beautiful.

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. They are very hospitable and kind. They thought of us before us and shared all the details. My friend and I felt very comfortable. The only thing missing was the lack of a long mirror :)
