    Beautiful and quiet town.

Beautiful and quiet town. Everything within walking distance. Favorite place for quick bite was Mastro Titta Pizza within two blocks of Airbnb. I would recommend staying longer as there is much to do it Civitavecchia. We missed walking along the Harbor, visiting Fort Michaelangelo, and the beaches. We read about direct Shuttles to the Airport, none were available the day we left because no cruise ships were arriving in Port. Car Service was expensive. We ended up taking the Train, which was not as convenient but not bad at all and at a fraction of the cost!

Of note: there was No Kleenex, NO WiFi password, no shampoo or soap for shower and NOI place in the shower to put such except on the floor, NOT enough signage to locate the building, room, door. NO USB ports, there was an ice bucket, but NO ice, NO towel racks or shelves in the bathroom, NO air conditioning.

The hotel is an outstanding location for pre-cruise...

The hotel is an outstanding location for pre-cruise travellers as the location is just a few steps away from Largo della Pace where cruisers pick up the free shuttle to the cruise terminal. Just roll your luggages along the sidewalk then across the street onto the ramp towards area where the shuttle awaits.

Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure.

Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure. Uneven paved sidewalks, some graffiti but seemed very safe. Just an older Italian town that’s packed fairly tight. Lots of dining options, but hours are different from what Americans are used to.

We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough...

We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough but what I saw was great. I would advise anyone travelling to a hotel in town and coming off the Barcelona ferry not to use the Sat Nav until well into the centre. It is likely to take you through the port to a controlled gate which you will not be allowed to pass and you will be sent back. Just follow signs to the centre then switch on Sat Nav when well clear of the port.

Breakfast was simple - a packaged pastry, tea, coffee. This place was fantastic and so big compared to most places we stayed in Italy. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. We just stayed one night before a cruise, but it would be a great place for a longer stay when we could take advantage of the waterfront and resort vibe. The apartment is on a sqare with many restaurants and would be awesome to try them all. We were close to a cool market and shopping which we explored before embarking on our cruise.

The very personable host met us right after we landed at Rome FCO Airport and for a reasonable fee drove us to the apartment in Civitavecchia. The apartment is very close to the cruise port and easy walking distance to the cruise port shuttle bus stop. It is also located less than a mile from the train station where we caught a train into Rome for a DIY excursion the day before our ship sailed. The apartment was very neat and clean and well stocked with goodies for breakfast.

Since I took so long to review this room, I don't remember a lot of details. It was our first night in Italy from the U.S. and we were very tired. This was the night before taking a cruise from this port. I can say that we were very happy with the accommodations. I remember how pleasantly surprised I was because the bed was so comfortable, and I'm very picky about that. Everything was clean and comfortable I would highly recommend this apartment.

If you’re staying in Civitavecchia before leaving on a cruise make at least 2-3 days there and stay at Maison De Revel. A delightful B n B on the waterfront just a short walk from an array of seafood restaurants and bars. Guilia was an amazing host and made us feel at home which we did by sitting in the front garden area enjoying a lazy afternoon in the sun! Transport to cruise port was easily organised for us! A little gem!

Close to Civitavecchia Port. Hotel staff was friendly, informative, and extremely responsive to questions prior to arrival. Room was spacious and clean. Nice part (restaurants, bars, etc) of Civitavecchia was only a couple of blocks away. Checkout is at 10:30 and you can call a cab and head straight over to the cruise ship. There is a shuttle bus that runs to the port but we never saw it or its pickup spot.

Location was excellent - centre of town. Room was spotless. Breakfast which was included with our room was great. Anna and Gianni were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. We intend to book this hotel on any future cruises from Civitavecchia and have already recommended it to other travellers who asked our opinion on a location to stay when in the cruise port.

the hotel is very new and clean. The location from the cruise port shuttle is quite close. . Hotel offers transfer to cruise terminal for €10 pp. as well. Taxi is the best choice from Train station to hotel, it’s not far, but with suitcases, we prefer taxi. Anna and Jonny are very friendly hotel staff. They will give you all the info you will for visiting the city.

It was right on the sea front and only a short journey to Rome. This meant that we could have both a relaxing holiday and also do some sightseeing. The room was comfortable with all the facilities that we would need. The host was a lovely lady who could not have done enough for us! Thankyou so much for the best holiday!

The owner was so helpful. The evening meal was nice. He took us to the port and dropped us at the terminal. He also let us return to the hotel on our last day as we left the ship at 8.30 am and had a late flight home. we will come back if we cruise from Rome again.

Secret Jem in Port of Rome. The entrance is off a fenced off courtyard where you need to press the buzzer to get access to the Hotel/ B&B. The cruise shuttle bus pick up is 150m at the end of the street. Thank you La Formica.
