The hostess was super friendly, helpful and accomodating. You get breakfast brought to your room, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable and showers are hot and local Chilean organic cosmetics are included (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel - they smell heavenly!). I have only superlatives to describe El Establo. Highly recommend!

Amazing city!
Amazing city! There is so much to see and do both in the city and in the region. I was here for 5 nights, and it wasn't long enough. (Caveat: I am a leisurely traveller, and like to sleep in some days, and not jam-pack my days!) Try to come in January/February if you want warm weather. It does get cooler and rains a bit in the fall. DO GO to Isla Magdalena and see th Magellen penguins – it's one of the biggest colonies and they are literally everywhere so you can see them extremely close up. Do NOT go with an organized tour group. This is totally doable on your own and the experience is the same, and likely better. Especially if you take the afternoon ferry, since most tours go in the morning and I figured the ferry must have at last 25-30% more people aboard then. If you want to take in Tierra del Fuego and it's landscape and history, and don't mind a lot of time in a tour van because of the distance and hours involved, then you might want to also see the King penguins. Keep in mind that this is NOT an established colony. It is a fledgling settlement and as such you are kept a very fair distance away and will be viewing them from blinds. Some of my tour companions were disappointed. I wasn't, you have to take the tour as a whole for what it is. Don't miss the Nao Victoria replica ships museum. Also, the Museo Regional de Magallanes and the Palacio Sara Braun are crucial to understanding the history of the Menendez Braun family in Punta Arenas and all of Magallanes.

Overall a very nice and stylish hotel located in the heart of Punta Arenas. The rooms are clean and well maintained as the property is an impressive piece of architecture dating back to 1895. Location is perfect with easy access and walking distance to the mostly every area of the city including the waterfront to see the Estrecho de Magallanes. The staff were very courteous and attentive. Good breakfast with a fair selection of food. Our suite was decorated with style and was very comfortable.

All staff made us feel welcome, helped us in any way we needed them at the front desk. Came back each day to the cleaner been with clean beds, towels and personal touch with the kids teddy's on the bed. Breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from and all the restaurant staff were exceptionally helpful. Always someone around the could speak English if needed help with translating the language.

The warm welcome, cozy well appointed room, heated bathroom floors, nice buffet breakfast. We stayed for lunch since our catamaran sailing was canceled due to extreme wind. The room was overpriced, but you pay for the million dollar views, a good place to rest after hiking to Base Las Torres.

Tierra Patagonia is an oasis, where everything works seamlessly. The staff is superb, the views sublime, the food exceptional, the rooms soothing and beautiful, the spa restorative. It is everything that an outdoor enthusiast could desire. We particularly enjoyed our excursions; Jaime was an exemplary, attentive and knowledgeable guide.

this. was. the absolute highlight of our Patagonia trip. The domes are amazing, the surrounding areas, yoga dome, restaurant etc are all so lovely. Staff (in particular the man on the reception) was fantastic, even when there was an issue with our booking! don’t look any further and if there’s availability for your dates - BOOK IT!!! (even if there isn’t - change your travel plans and make sure you get to stay at least one night at this place).

Great location just outside od the entrance to TdP in the beautiful valley of Serrano river and with amazing views of TdP (important thing is the roads are bumpy and full of potholes so be carefull if driving). Heated pool was perfect after long day of hiking. Breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip through South America. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable, everything was super clean. Staff were polite.

Beautiful hotel that is as lovely and comfortable as the pictures suggested. We stayed on Christmas Day after trekking in Torres del Paine, and had a wonderful and memorable dinner in the restaurant. The staff are kind and clear in their information, and were of great help in determining logistics to get back to the bus station the following day. Breakfast was excellent. The room was spotless and very well appointed- we only wish we’d spent another night here!
