Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This was a fantastic hotel stay. Spacious and super comfy rooms with balcony. We had the best nights sleep. Staff were lovely with restaurant, bar and lounge available. Good parking and walking distance to many bars and restaurants.

PortugalIt's not an adult only hotel so you have to expect a lot of noises from kids in the common areas (restaurant, pool, lobby, bar, etc). Not quite the best hotel to chill in, but a good hotel to sleep in and go out for a route in the mountains. We couldn't really use the lounge/bar area because there were always a lot of children shouting and making noises and throwing around plastic toys, not really the fault of the hotel but their terrible parents who simply didn't bother if their kids were bothering the guests. The worse part is that the hotel has these areas open to the public, so families can come to have lunch/dinner and they will occupy these spaces with their noisy children. So, do not expect peace and quiet of the mountains in here.

Gibraltarmy husband was disappointed by the breakfast setup, though tea and toast for me is a great breakfast. breakfast is only 4.50 euros so don't expect a full blown breakfast, but i believe you can ask the staff for extra bits (at extra cost), if you really need to eat more than what is on offer
the rooms were very clean and the shower was was warm and pleasant. it was very quiet, conveniently set between the town and the walks by the river. perfect for a weekend getaway for two

United StatesFirst: I have never left a review of any sort. As a rule, I'm flexible. I've also worked in service I reserved a junior suite (2 adults + 1 child). The room description states "max. 3 people." The photo shows 2 beds. Yet we were charged 20 euro/night for our child--even when we asked only for sheets to cover the sofa. The staff also refused to give us 2 towels for the pool. Neither the concierge nor housekeeping would budge. My daughter, age 10, is autistic and sensitive to conflict, so I let it be. For the price--and this hotel is more expensive than comparable in town--I expected more.
Breakfast was good, as was the breakfast chef/host. The village of El Bosque is a fantastic retreat.
