Nothing, absolutely perfect!

My husband and I just had the most wonderful six nights at Gek House. In fact, staying here was the highlight of our Bali trip! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful each day, a big shout out to Wayan Kadek and Made! Your friendly smiles warmed our hearts each day. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, the setting a relaxing oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The breakfast each morning was so delicious ( especially the banana pancakes) and the pool a well needed escape from the Balinese heat! We would love to return some day and experience this wonderful hotel and the staff's warm hospitality. Highly recommend staying if you are in Ubud! Big love, from Mary and Karl NZ! 😊

Very minor- the shower is in the bath which means climbing into it but this is very picky, I'd go back anytime.

the staff were very helpful, arranging drivers and being generally very kind. I loved the pool nestled in greenery which was very calming in contrast with the bustle of 'downtown' Ubud. Lovely big balcony with pool and restful view.

We had a fantastic time at Gek House Ubud! The hotel had a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, and sitting on the balcony felt like being in a jungle. The staff were amazing - so, so friendly, helpful, and always smiling! They really put us in a great mood! 😊 We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Made with a genuine smile and a heartfelt welcome that instantly made us feel at home. Room is quite spacious! We were surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature. The attention to detail in every aspect of the house was truly remarkable. The rooms were cleaned and made every day and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast served. It’s prepared with love and care, and the freshly cooked meals feature a delightful array of local delicacies and seasonal fruits, providing a delicious start to the day. The staff at Gek House were always ready to assist and their message replies were prompt, they took great care of the facilities, maintaining the beautiful garden and furnitures with their hands. It's rare to find a place that combines such genuine hospitality with impeccable service. Not easily accessible by car but just a 3 min walk out to two rows of eateries and shops. Highly recommend travellers to experience the warmth and tranquility of this hidden gem.

Amazing calm place away from the busy streets of Ubud! Beautiful pool, balconies and garden. Breakfast at the balcony every morning. Super nice staff. They arranged transport to the airport as well as a beautiful five hours excursion with a private driver.

We loved staying at Gek house. It was a great experience. The accommodation was wonderful, everything very willingly provided. The breakfast was delicious, we loved the banana pancake. Wayan was always very friendly. Yan was always quick to respond to messages, helping us during our stay and with transportation. We took a tour with Wayan Sila and it was wonderful; he was very attentive and explained about the local culture during the tour. The housekeeper always had a smile on his face and was willing to help. Basically, everyone at this accommodation is wonderful and willing to help you. The location is great because it's close to the center but not directly on the street, so you won't have car noises; the house is surrounded by nature, so it's peaceful. There are plenty of shops to eat and enjoy the day, especially Coco Tacos, a small family restaurant that serves delicious food. A tip is to book your taxi directly with Gek, as the house is on a back street and not easily accessible the first time you arrive. We booked our car independently and the driver didn't know how to get there, but Wayan was very helpful and came to find us. In summary, Gek's house is a great place for you to stay in Ubud

The rooms were cleaned every day and smelled aleays very good. People were extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast was delicious and served into the room! Pool was clean and very refreshing! Room was located near the city center, but in a quiet street. Water was aleays available. Well planned and executed accommodation, we really liked it!

Gek House is very convenient to walk to yoga barn. It’s tucked in a quiet lane, local neighbourhood. The host has prepared a room with tropical forest garden view, which is tranquil and peaceful for outdoor breakfast!

My first room was a little dark and wanted move to other one . 2nd room was okay. I would be glad if they would use day light color in the small lamps next to the bed.

I am vegan that's why I could only eat fruits. They served also fried rice with veggies but I was ok with only fruits. Owners and the staff was so friendly and helpfull. I felt so secure and comfy. Close to the street. they have only 4 rooms thats why so quite .

I have been coming to Bali for 10 years and Gek House is the best place I have ever stayed. Wayan runs such a beautiful hotel - my room was like something out of a tropical paradise dream with the pool below and jungle around. I walked to yoga every day and returned for swims in the pool in between classes. Wayan went out of his way to help me at any point even picking me up when I got lost! I am so grateful for my time at gek house - I will now always stay there.

Great breakfast where you can choose options, close to Ubud center, lots of cafés nearby, nice view from balcony, beautiful pool. Guest house consists of just 4 rooms, very quiet and peaceful.

Odor in bathroom & no housekeeping on one day.

Wayan was superb - he went above and beyond for us. Room was lovely. Loved the pool. Breakfast was great on the balcony. Good location - near where we wanted to be but quiet being off the main road.
